From project reconnaissance and survey to operation and everything in between, NRE possesses the in-house engineering & financial expertise to design, construct and operate hydroelectric and solar photovoltaic power stations, transmission lines and substation projects.

Since 2007, NRE’s core business is to design new renewable energy electricity generation schemes. Once designed, NRE has applied to the national energy regulator for an independent power producer licence and to the national grid operator for a supply contract to deliver electricity. On receipt of all permissions, which also include environmental impact assessments and water licences, NRE has built the power schemes and commissioned them into the national electricity grid network.
